In poker, the 2 and 7 off-suit is the worst hand you can be dealt. But in the right situation, played correctly, even that hand can be won. That's the idea behind the Deuce 7 — the 2 atop the 7, conjoined.
It's about playing the hand you're dealt like it's the one you wanted. No bluff, no fold — always see it through, no matter how big an underdog you are. And it's about the rest of it too: hard work, calloused hands, determination. The working cowboy, the rodeo contestant, the friends and faces I grew up around — many of them what most would call "a hand."
All of it came together into what Rough Hand Hat Co. is meant to be about.
